Creating or updating your will is usually the first step in our process. This is a document that lives with you so as life changes, it needs to be changed as well, to reflect your current situation.
This is who will receive your estate when you pass. It is important to establish this now, because if you delay, your spouse or heirs will have no guidance when going through the probate process and the courts will decide who your beneficiary is and where your assets will go.
As part of our initial assessment we do with all clients, we will help you realize, categorize, and state your assets that will be listed as part of your estate.
Once your will has been established, we can go over your options for asset transference upon your passing. Legal structures like life revocable living trusts have proven to be effective at transferring your estate to your heirs and can provide as much protection as possible for your family upon your death.
